Dr. Krähenbühl will present strategies to help faculty improve their virtual teaching and presentation skills.

2018 MCA Keynote Speaker Biography
Dr. Ronald L. Jackson II
Dr. Ronald L. Jackson II is president of the National Communication Association, professor of communication, former Dean of the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Cincinnati (UC), and an internationally renowned identity scholar and sought-after speaker. Dr. J, as students affectionately know him, is an award-winning author of more than 75 publications related to the study of masculinity, identity negotiation, race, and culture. He has published 14 books including his most recent books Interpreting Tyler Perry (with Jamel Bell) and the 2014 International Comic-con Will Eisner award-winning book Black Comics: Politics of Race and Representation (with Sheena Howard). He is now working on a book with Kimberly Moffitt and Simone Puff about the award-winning TV show Scandal.
Ron earned all degrees in communication (with a specialty in organizational and cultural communication). He received a B.A. and M.A. from University of
Cincinnati, and a Ph.D. from Howard University. He has held faculty appointments at Penn State University and the University of Illinois prior to joining the faculty at the University of Cincinnati.
A Cincinnati native and member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Ron is married to entrepreneur and owner of Your Design Partner Ricci Jackson, and is the proud father of two children who are both college students, Niyah and Niles.
